Job description
- Temporary - 4 months (possibly temp to perm)

This well established research company based in the Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne (close to CBD) have an opening for a temporary (to permanent) Bookkeeper/Accountant (no CPA required) to join their finance team. This successful person will be required to work in the office to begin with and will be required to work in the office (covid travel permit provided) for the initial couple of weeks and then work from home options will be available.
The role requires an individual with at least 2 years experience in a similar position ideally within the non-profit or research/project environment
Key responsibilities will include;
- Payroll import from Micropay to Sun
- Accounts payable and generation of payments
- Q&A reporting on General ledger enquiry
- Monthly BAS reporting
- Bank reconciliations
- Monthly financial reporting
- General ledger input
Skills & Experience
- At least 2 years experience in a similar role
- Excellent time management and attention to detail
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Confident and helpful manner/communicator
- Technically confident with systems and reporting and / or intermediate Excel skills
- Tertiary Degree (Preferred)
- Experience in non-profit or project environment (desirable)
- Experience with 'Sunsystem' software (Desirable)
