This well-known global transport and supply chain organisation is going through an exciting change, that will see the team double over the next 3 months.
The Role:
This role will be responsible for leading and managing the business in its forecasting and budgeting process, monitoring financial performance against plans and the application of a business-partnering model in supporting the business with strategic decision making. This role is a maternity leave cover for 18 months. 
  • Championing and leading the quarterly budgeting and forecasting process throughout the organisation
  • Liaise with all departmental managers in the organisation in managing and budgeting for the General and Administrative expenditure of the business
  • Develop & strengthen internal controls over the end-to-end budget process
  • Lead the delivery of company budgets and related analysis to meet reporting
    requirements and support the strategic direction of the board.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual analysis of Gross Profit finance performance
    against the budgets
  • Prepare associated reporting and presentations to the SLT & Board of Directors on this
  • Manage and Lead 6 direct reports
Key Requirements:
  • Solid experience within Finance or a Chartered Accounting environment (+ 7 years’ experience)
  • Strong excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Strong experience managing, leading, and coaching a team of Business Planning professionals
  • Business partnering skills with the ability to work closely operational teams and has a strong commercial acumen
  • Experience leading a team through a transformation would be highly desirable.
