On behalf of our client, a highly respected, we are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Officer to join their growing team. About the Role This is a broad, hands-on position that encompasses end-to-end payroll processing as well as HR coordination and finance administration. The role is ideal for a payroll professional who enjoys variety, has strong attention to detail, and is comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative team. You will report directly to senior leadership and support day-to-day business operations across payroll, employee lifecycle administration, and finance support.
Key Responsibilities:
- End-to-end payroll processing (fortnightly) using Rostek, Strumis and MYOB
- Preparation of PAYG, payroll tax, superannuation, WorkCover and child support payments
- End-of-month payroll reconciliations and reporting
- Labour hire timesheet processing and invoice reconciliation
- Apprenticeship/traineeship submission management
- Onboarding and offboarding processes, including preparation of employment documentation
- Maintenance of HR records and policies via Employment Hero
- Monthly HR reporting and employee data management
- Management of staff asset register, phone directory, and QLeave records
- General administrative duties including document control and email inbox management
- Ad hoc bookkeeping and financial support tasks
- Assistance with ongoing improvement of internal systems and processes
- Demonstrated experience in end-to-end payroll processing
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- A proactive, adaptable attitude and willingness to learn
- Experience with MYOB and HRIS platformsis desirable
