About the firmCharterhouse are partnered with a well-established 4 partner firm in the heart of the Sydney CBD. The firm provide high level Tax Accounting & Business Advisory services to a broad client base including HNWI, medical, professionals up to around $100 million in turnover.
The firm are about to join a network of firms across Australia which will mean it will have national presence, and increased opportunities for not only career progression but to work with large and complex clients
About the role
The role will work as a 2IC under the partner and help support and review the work of 2 intermediate accountants.
You will work also closely with a successful leadership team, and you will manage your own diverse portfolio of clients, including some with turnovers exceeding $100m, as well as international clients.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Preparing financial statements and taxation returns for companies, partnerships, trusts, and individuals
- Assisting with taxation issues, including GST, CGT, FBT, and Div7
- Preparing and lodging Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Instalment Activity Statements (IAS)
- Managing client interactions and responsibilities
- Mentoring and training junior staff members
- 2-3+ years of experience in Business Services
- Proficiency with Xero
- Completed or currently studying towards your CA/CPA qualification
- A strong understanding of tax and accounting fundamentals
