​​​​​​About the role 


I am currently looking for an experienced Work Health and Safety Officer for a 3 month temporary contract near to Sydney CBD.  The primary purpose of the role is to review and maintain health and safety processes and procedures to ensure that they meet legislative and regulatory requirements and standards. in this position, you will play a key role in identifying and addressing health and safety risks within the business.  


Duties within the role will include:  

  • Identify and create action plans to resolve any Work Health and Safety concerns
  • Carryout regular inspections within the business to ensure hazards are identified, reported and monitored
  • Conduct quarterly audits of the office space
  • Undertake risk assessments prepare tender documentation, and review/evaluate on site
  • Coordinate safety induction processes on site
  • Lead and advise on safety and environmental awareness throughout the business
  • Produce reports that highlight safety data analysis and trends
  • Liaise with Senior Management on procedures and processes that are currently in place and review effectiveness and need for improvement


Essential Criteria:

  • You would need to have previously worked in a WHS role, understand Work Health and Safety Management Systems, with excellent verbal communication skills with a confident and friendly personality 
  • Completed WHS Construction induction 3 years minimum experience as a Safety Coordinator
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word and Excel
