Job description

A large corporate organisation based in Hurstville is looking to engage 2 contractors to assist with the implementation and planning of various events including NYE.

Responsibilities include: 

  • Facilitate, plan and implement third party events, overseeing compliance with relevant policies and procedures 
  • Establish priority of work considering health, safety, other risk and funding factors and, when needed, seek advice on other considerations regarding the required work
  • Collaboration with regional teams to identify and negotiate resources to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of events
  • Manage Third Party Events Clients
  • Negotiate fees and work with area staff on booking venues for events
  • Checking event plans and provide advice to our event clients
  • Work on the in-house delivery of a 50th Anniversary event along with Sydney Harbour NYE event

Essential Criteria:

  • Event Management Experience
  • Excellent communication skills including verbal and written
  • Negotiation skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Drivers licence required
  • Ability to work weekends and long evenings when required
  • Strong client focus
  • Sound knowledge of event logistics
  • Confident decision maker
